principal and senior consultant
today donyos is led by donya abdulhadi, a senior strategic growth consultant with vast experience advising senior government officials and c-suite brand leaders across public, private and international development sectors in navigating periods of transformation in europe, the middle east, north africa and north america.
she has designed and overseen the implementation of strategies for international development organizations including the united nations, the european commission, and the alternative policy solutions project in egypt as well as ftse100 brands including rolex, hsbc and shell and international and regional organizations including mastercard, the qatar national bank (qnb), bank of jordan, pepsico, kenwood, the, university of toronto, mcdonald’s, bridgestone, damas, dubai airports, the saudi arabian ministry of culture and the diriyah gate development authority.
she has also served as a strategic advisor to the newly elected libyan prime minister in 2013, where she was the chief architect of a national digital rumor control campaign for which she was recognized as a global shaper by the world economic forum. keen to also support small to medium enterprises gain and sustain influence, donya has coached startups across the middle east, and was invited to take part in a board simulation programme at companies that create change (c3).
she has held lecturing appointments at the american university in dubai, grand jury positions at prestigious international strategy and creativity awards platforms such as warc mena strategy prize and the new york festivals for advertising and marketing excellence, and is a frequent contributor to the brandberries magazine. she has also been a speaker at she is arab and in2summit, where she was invited to share insights into the role of leadership in driving growth and innovation. she is a published author on topics pertaining to geopolitical, social and cultural movement for prominent publications in canada, egypt, singapore and the UAE, and an exhibiting painter at the art hub at the dubai design district.
donya was born and raised in rome, italy, is a communications graduate of mcmaster university in canada and carries an emba from the london business school where she is also scholar. she is currently pursuing executive education on innovation and entrepreneurship at stanford university and is fluent in english, italian and arabic.
